One Off Places is thrilled to announce the launch of Curved Stone House, a stunning holiday retreat sculpted from stone, turf and glass, nestled into a hillside above the beautiful north Highland villa of Ullapool in Scotland.
Curved Stone House in the Scottish Highlands
The house can accommodate 4 people in 2 bedrooms – one en-suite double (super king size bed) and a further twin/double with a second shower room/WC. The bathroom features a lavish free standing bath, a sauna, and a double shower. The panoramic windows open out onto a spacious south-westerly facing spill-out area from where you can view the dramatic West Highland vistas.
Tabitha Symonds, founder and director of oneoffplaces.co.uk, said of this brand new addition to the portfolio; ` With spacious luxurious interiors and panoramic views across Loch Broom and out to the Summer Isles, this is truly out-of-the-ordinary accommodation in one of the most spectacular scenic parts of Scotland.`
Living room – luxury interiors
Built by the owners and a team of local crafts people and artisans, the house was designed by a Hebridean architect with the aim of bringing together modern design and traditional craft techniques. Spacious yet cosy, with full under floor heating and a wood burning stove in the open-plan living area, the Curved Stone House is a unique and indulgent base from which to explore the stunning local environment and the Highland life and culture.

Set overlooking Ullapool, just a 10 minute walk from the centre, this is rural isolation combined with the village experience. The house backs onto the Ullapool Hill Path network so you can explore the wilderness on your doorstep, go climbing and mountain walking. There are golden sand beaches nearby, and you can go sea kayaking or take boat excursions. Inland you can play golf, fish on the loch and go pony trekking, or you can discover the ruins of castles and Iron Age hill forts. Ullapool is set on a main trunk road only a 70 minute drive from Inverness.
Sauna in the Scottish Highlands
