One Off Places is thrilled to announce the launch of The Hideaway, an exclusive cluster of hand-built oak-clad shepherd’s huts, set around a smart decking area in a rural idyll on the Isle of Wight. The Hideaway opened for its first guests in September 2013 and introduces a new concept for shepherd’s hut glamping – instead of getting just one hut you get four – two bedroom huts, and a double kitchen / living hut.
Hidden away within picturesque farm and woodland, just outside the country village of Whippingham on the North East coast of the island, these delightful and distinctive huts are perfect for romantic breaks or quirky rural retreats. The Hideaway comprises 2 en-suite bedroom huts and a double kitchen/living hut, all newly hand-built with lots of natural wood, slate and stone. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with views into the trees. The huts sit around a sunny, secluded decking area and French doors lead out onto the decking from the living area.
Tabitha Symonds, founder and director of oneoffplaces.co.uk, said of this brand new addition to the portfolio; ` Chic, rustic and absolutely unique, The Hideaway is a place where you can enjoy luxury, peace and privacy in beautiful natural surroundings.`
The huts are completely private and surrounded by nature. There is a wealth of wildlife around, from red squirrels and rabbits to owls and woodpeckers, not to mention the horses, cows and sheep from the surrounding farmland. There are bikes available to hire and shooting lessons/practice are available on site, as well as children’s mini tractor rides. The owners offer speedboat charters; brilliant fun for all ages. The Isle of Wight is jam-packed with things to do and see, whether you want to visit historic castles, take long coastal walks, try a spot of sailing or just sit on a beach eating ice cream.
Price from £550 – £1200 per week.
