Ever fancied staying in a converted train carriage? This pair of lovingly restored Stroudley railway carriages date back to the 10th century and were originally used on the London – Brighton line. Now they are positioned on the seafront in the seaside town of Selsey and have been turned into luxurious accommodation for 8 people.
This railway carriage conversion is charming and eccentric, whilst offering some luxurious features, and direct access onto a superb beach and a beautiful part of the British coastline. Each of the coaches have been thoughtfully adapted and combines original features with cosy and quirky living spaces. And as for the setting? You don’t get closer to the beach than this. You want beachfront? You’ve got beachfront!
Inside are four bedrooms – 2 doubles and 2 twins (with bunk beds). The sitting room has a comfy sofa and TV, there is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, and an eating and sitting area with a log burner and panoramic views. There is a collection of DVD’s, books, games and toys. Outside you will find a fenced beach style garden with decking and garden furniture. The beach itself is unspoilt, and you will often have it all to yourself, even in high season.
Selsey is six miles south of Chichester and offers a wide range of activities for all ages and interests, from golfing and cycling, to fishing and diving, and all points in between!
From £375 – £1000 per week depending on time of year.
