Aragon – the place to go if you’re in search of untouched Spain…..

Aragon - where you go if you’re in search of untouched Spain. With no coastline to tempt the masses of sun seekers, here you can find secluded accommodation and glorious landscapes, and best of all, you get to keep them all to yourself.

The village of Berdun

With such a low population density huge areas of Aragon remain wild and untouched – you don’t get the choice of holiday rentals that you will in the Costas, but wow, what you get, will be good!  Aragon is a land of extreme natural contrasts, both geologically and in climate, from the dry plains and hilly areas of the south, to the green valleys and snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees.  Perfect for those in search of seclusion, romance, and a slower pace of life – a real gem of a place, full of fascinating places to visit. Lovers of nature and outdoor sports, ski enthusiasts and culture vultures will all find their niche here.

Characterful streets

Holiday properties here are characterful and unspoilt – one such example is Apartment Berdun,  A three bedroom apartment nestling in a Pyrenean village, it is filled with period features, and boasts a magnificent south facing terrace offering uninterrupted mountain views.  The building which houses the apartment is part of the original walls of the village, dating back to the 1300s.  Berdun itself has a couple of shops and bars, and within an easy drive you can be in ancient monasteries, hot springs, and desert monoliths.  There are four ski resorts within a 30 minute drive too.

The Apartment

Priced at just £85 per night, it’s a fabulous place for a truly relaxing holiday, and the chance to experience the real Spain.
