Brand new to our portfolio is this fabulous converted horse lorry near Banbury in Oxfordshire. Lovingly renovated, and sitting on a pretty Georgian farm, the 1974 Bedford TK horse lorry sleeps 2 people in surprising comfort! If you’re in search of unique places to stay, or quirky holidays, then you’ve come to the right place.
Inside, the lorry has a very comfortable king sized bed which is raised up above the cab of the horse lorry so you can enjoy views over the fields. Step down from the bedroom area into the dining area, where you will find tea/coffee making facilities, table and chairs. If you’re desperate to squeeze in a couple of extras, there’s a sofa bed which can accommodate a further two people. On the other side of the field is a composting loo and shower.
Patio doors from the lorry lead out to a decked area where you can sunbathe, eat breakfast on fine days, and admire wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. You may well find sheep and their lambs just below you.
A 10 minute stroll across the fields is where you can find the local pub, which provides delicious home cooked food every day. The local area full of picturesque country walks, pretty cycle routes and lovely pubs and for the culture vultures amongst you, nearby you will find plenty of museums and other attractions including Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Towcester Races, Silverstone Circuit, Royal Leamington Spa, Boddington Reservoir, Blenheim Palace and Sulgrave Manor.
A stay in the horse lorry costs £100 for 1 night, £190 for 2 nights, £500 for one week.
