Riverside Glamping in East Sussex

Here on a peaceful campsite in East Sussex you will find a collection of hand built huts; a perfect spot for a romantic weekend away or for getting back to nature with the family.  The huts are based on the idea of an old shepherd’s hut and built using old corn bins for the rooves, recycled chassis from old touring caravans – reclaimed, locally sourced, and recycled materials.

Unique and charming, the five huts are located on a farm in the village of Bodiam, East Sussex.  Everything on site has been set up to produce minimum impact on the environment – timber from responsibly farmed forests, lighting systems powered via solar panels on the hut’s roof and paints made with natural pigments.

Each hut can sleep 4 people and although compact, they also provide all the necessary mod cons, from gas hob to electric lighting.  They each have a wood burner, double glazing, and excellent insulation to ensure you are kept cosy.  Cooking equipment, kitchen basics and bedding are all provided.  Outside each hut has table and chairs and its own firepit, and there is a communal covered area and campfire to ensure you can dine alfresco even if the weather is a little inclement!  Washing facilities are a few yards away in a separate shepherd’s hut and includes hot showers and flushing toilets!

There’s loads to do in the vicinity, from enjoying the farm (and fishing in the river which runs through the farm), to strolling over the fields to the local pub, visiting Bodiam Castle or the Steam Railway.

From £79 – £95 per hut per night.
